Shoelaces and Grocery Bags
Marcella loves this reusable grocery bag! Grandma and Daddy put her in it for a few pictures. She makes some of the craziest faces.
She also LOVES shoelaces...especially if they are Grandpa's shoelaces!

Tour de Texas
The end of July, we took a road trip with The Garber's: Scott, Summer, Austin, Noah, and Gabe to Texas. Our Tour de Texas included the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, The JFK Memorial, Austin, San Antonio's Riverwalk, the World's largest Schlitterbahn, and the outlet malls south of Austin. Considering it was a over 12 hours one way and hot as heck, Marcella did great! She only had one major meltdown; this was after a long hot day at the water park. This was also her first time to cruise in her stroller with out her car seat. Cousin Gabe especially enjoyed pushing Marci in her stroller. There were only a few moments that my heart stopped pounding as he carefully navigated her next to the Rivewalk in San Antonio! It was also over this trip that Marci learned to stand up in the crawl position. Each morning we were greeted with a HUGE smile peeking over the lip of her pack n' play. After this trip, we have come to the conclusion that a larger vehicle is inevitable.Looking forward to many more road trips with the Garber's!

Technology....
Or, better yet...the lack of. So Momma G has lost her camera cord. It's official. I've searched HIGH. I've searched LOW. I've given up! I have so many wonderful photos to share with you. Tomorrow I'm purchasing a card reader....hope to be updating Marci's Playground with lots of new photos soon.
Did you know she is attempting to stand on her own and was caught climbing the stairs on September 19? Nothing is off limits for our Marcella. Her daddy and I like to say that mobile is an understatement for our little peanut! She turned 8 months on September 26; the past eight months have gone so quickly. Neither of us can believe it! Check back in a few days....it's going to be good!
Oh and everyone knows that once I finally purchase the card reader...yep, I'll find my camera cord. Bah!

Strollin'
Marcella is almost big enough to cruise without her carseat. This evening we "tested" her Jeep stroller without the carseat to see if she is big enough to stroll without it, and she's fits..well sorta. With the outside temperature so high this summer, I'll try anything to keep her out of her carseat when possible; they just don't breathe, at all! I did tighten all the safety straps to their smallest size to make her fit. Marci appeared to like looking out. This is a great thing!
