Today, I decided to be the best baby ever

As mommy and daddy fell asleep last night I made the decision to be the best baby I could be. 

That's right, I slept for 7 hours (not all at once obviously) last night!  Then, I woke up and ate and slept for 2 more hours, crying only moderately to get what I wanted. :) I've continued this process all day and I'm planning the exact same pattern every day for the next couple of weeks (just don't tell mommy or daddy because I like to keep them on their toes).

Because I'm such a great baby I've decided to nominate myself as the baby of the day.  Anyone opposed?   Pretty sure my Aunts, Arianne and Carly, have already crowned me anyways!

Beauty by day, terror by night

Don't let this face fool you. I know, she looks beautiful, peaceful and charming, doesn't she?  I wish you could all see miss Marci at about 1:30 a.m. 

The face she makes kind of reminds me of my former self after my college roommate Chad Divine ate all of the tailgate food and drank all of the adult beverages at halftime; leaving none for us after the game.

Look for the face he makes as the cocaine wears off.  This is my daughter about the time everyone else is either sleeping peacefully or hitting the sack. :)

 

KU vs. K-State...How sweet it would be for Marci to see her first Cat victory!

Marci's uncle Scott swears that you should allow your kids to decide what team they will cheer for.  Have no doubt about it...Marci was a Classy Cat as soon as she came into the world!

Our baby girl

At 7:24 p.m. on January 26, 2011 Marcella Reese Garber came into our lives.  Ever since that moment the days have flown by.

Marci's first sponge bath

Today, Lindsay gave Marci her first sponge bath while I pouted because Lindsay has never offered to do the same for me.  Funny how things change when a child comes into your life.

We are so blessed to have this beautiful young lady as the first addition to our family, excluding the weiners, and can't wait for the many more firsts to come.
