JEWbilee or Bighead

We had a blast from the past yesterday.  I couldn't figure out if our college friends, John and Jenny Stous, knitted Marci a skull cap or if somehow our friend, Bighead, had dropped something into the gene pool. Regardless, the beautiful little hat didn't fit, and Jenny is going to make it a little bigger.  Marci decided to cry the entire time John, Jenny and Lilly were here but I promise she had a great time with her new friends

ShiPOOPi

I have a feeling not everyone will recognize this.  Some say it looks like a sausage and others believe it could be a large Tootsie Roll.  Either way you see it there is one thing that it always reminds me of.

When I was in high school I was in the musical "The Music Man." We had an awful singer who had to sing "Shipoopi" over and over again to perfect it.  I will remember that forever.

So, when Marci has a little movement i'm constantly hearing the tune in my head. If you can't remember it check it out.

Rollin'

Thursday was a big day for me. Mom and dad got me all bundled up and took me on an adventure like I have never been before.  We went to the doctor, Mrs. Bridge, drove all over town and ended up cruisin to the Walmart.  Walmart was amazing, or so i've been told.  I laughed myself to sleep after watching mommy and daddy try to figure out how to get my carseat in the shopping cart.  It was a great day.

Daddy seems to think we need pump up music when we go driving.  Our favorite song is "Rollin,'" by Limp Bizkit.  Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsXEbqS7cpE

5 day hiatus

Sorry for the boring blog.  I think the following picture, which Lindsay took shortly after we returned home from the hospital, portrays the situation perfectly.

Marci is 1 week old!!!

I can't believe it has been a week already.  We talk every day about how hard it is to know what day it is or what's going on outside our home.  Even though we may be out of the loop we have a beautiful baby girl who is a week old.  Celebrate!

Need: 1 babysitter to replace incompetent weiner dogs

After Lindsay's day of severe illness and my mini-attack we've gotten so pathetic and helpless that Wrigley and Nellie have started baby sitting Marci during our absence.
Does this make us bad parents?  I mean, the dogs care for her a lot.

What an Angel!

Yesterday morning I caught Marci doing her best snow angel in her Halo sleep sack.  I had to share this picture because I think it is hilarious and super cute.
